MOAR PANTSU!!!
Posted in: Sea/Limbus by Matsuo on February 6, 2010

Omega went down yet again to the Abunai crew. And while we weren’t at full strength, we only had two deaths! Pest… Frutiebutie… You two gave your hard-earned XP to get Pfeffernuse a pair of Homam Cosciales and Matsuo a pair of Homam Gambieras, we salute you!
Everyone knows it’s Windy

Dynamis-Windurst, January 31, 2010

One of the smoothest low-man Dyna runs took to Windy today, resulting in a crapton of ToAU AF, as well as the win for one of our newest members! Yippee!
Ok, enough “pretending” to be excited. Of all the Dyna zones, Windy is perhaps the most irritating. Death house aside, those Yags and crows are as fun as watching paint dry. And we didn’t get the one piece of AF we came for. Oh well, at least Dyanne got a ton of currency, including her share of two 100s! Can’t complain there, now can we?
Grats to all who won +1 storage!
It pays to be a Boter!

Sarameya, January 30, 2010

With all of SE’s STF wahoo about going after boters (and nothing seemingly done about it), you can imagine how skeptical players can be towards changing the status quo. After all, we all know that the only way to really succeed at HNM is to bot, right? Right!
But SE proved us wrong today, as we now believe they are doing something about it! They have now programmed mob AI to squash any players that are “suspect”. That’s why Sarameya went after Titan’s biggest Boter, squashing him under his paw like a soda can! But Boter got the last laugh, as he wound up taking home today’s best prize, an Oracle’s Robe all his own!
A Foolkiller and a lolPachipachi were other consolation prizes off the two Saras we did. Unfortunately, no one seemed to want either of them. So if you want your very own Sara weapons, go visit Port Jeuno for some low low prices…better than WalMart!
Accessorize me!

Dynamis-Qufim, January 24, 2010

When everyone follows directions, great things can happen in this game. When one or two people don’t follow directions, bad things can happen.
Thanks to some quick thinking and fast killing by our team, we managed to avoid the bad by having a pretty nice Qufim run! While we didn’t get much in the NQ AF department, six accessories dropped, which was very nice to see! Congratulations goes out to Penello on her Argute Belt, Frutiebutie on his Duelist’s Belt, Dyanne on her Scout’s Belt, Umeria on her Monster Belt, Ixchel on his Melee Cape, and Pfeffernuse on her Abyss Cape!
Dishing it out

Proto-Ultima, January 23, 2010

Every so often, we like to rib certain members.
Wait, who am I kidding? We tease members all the time!
Today, Virothix was our scapegoat. All before, during and after the event, we blamed Viro for everything. Aggroing a UFO he was nowhere near. Opening the wrong chest. Getting “meh” drops. I guess this is what happens to you when your laptop blows up and you have to wait almost two weeks to return to the game. But he took it all in stride, which is how we intended him to take it!
Did I mention the “meh” drops? Yeah, after killing Ultima, Ruinone got his Nashira head, while Tearxx got his Nashira feet! Once again, the pants eludes us, but that just gives us more opportunities to tease others! Hmmm….who will it be next time?
The Cat’s Meow

Sky, January 17, 2010

The last time we did kitty, we were very disappointed. I mean, how many linkshells can say they went 0/5 on haidates in one run?
Well, today was the cat’s meow, cause it was a total 180 degree turnaround!
Team Abunai managed to equip two of our newer members, as well as a special merc guest, with their very own kitty pants! Four kills not only resulted in three leet pairs of pants (two of which went to Iambatman and Cathain), but also a bunch of other treasure, including a couple of hides that Umeria and Nicolaus won! Congratulations to all!
Dynamis-Buburimu, January 17, 2010

Wow. Talk about hitting the jackpot!
We have never seen a 100 in Abunai’s CoP Dynamis. At least I don’t think we have. Which made today all the more palatable, since AB dropped FOUR of the most prized 100s ever! This counterbalanced the relatively few relics that dropped, especially since the sucky, stingy-ass Uragnites keep refusing to drop my Valor Cape. Bastids! I’ll keep telling myself, “someday…”
Congratulations to all AF/Accessory winners, especially Frutiebutie, Matsuo, Kamanao and Pest on their 100s!
Mog Furnishing Contest!

Mog Furnishing Contest, January 16, 2010
It was all glitter and gold today, as a bunch of our members participated in our first Mog House furnishing contest!
Entries were judged on factors such as creativity, design, overall effect, and entertainment value. It was amazing how well some of these mogs were decked out, and every judge had his or her own favorites. Interestingly, not every judge had the same taste, so the outcome reflected this. It was a great experience for all, and all of our participants should be proud of their mog houses! Without further adieu, we present our winners!
First Place: Iambatman (1 million gil prize)

Judges liked the use of Iam’s candelabras, and especially liked the unique cactus plant and the green wooden horse. Others found it odd to have snowmen near the fireplace. Good job, Iambatman!
Second Place (Tie): Penello and Diotema (500K prize each!)

Diotema’s mog house included some eerily glowing lamps all around the room. He also brought out the milk and cookies for the judges (which did not affect the scores…or did they?). A great host!

Penello’s mog was truly a sight to behold! Impeccably detailed and highly attractive, her Mog scored highest on two of three scorecards, barely missing the top spot! I personally would’ve voted hers “Best in Show”, as it was so well done, but I wasn’t a judge! Regardless, excellent job Pen and Dio!
Third Place: Breht (250K prize)

Representing the city of Windy, Breht’s mog house won third prize! Judges liked the simplicity of the layout, and the mannequins guarding the bookshelves, which Breht told us led to a secret passage to his “love tub”. TMI!
And speaking of mannequins….
Special Honorable Mention: Matsuo and Jackdaniel (200K prize each!)

Yes, only in Matsuo’s mog house can you find bendable action figures! I dunno how Mats did it, but he was able to position his mannequin as above! Like a Slap Chop, Mats made it clear that “you’re gonna love my nuts!” *Cough* Get a life, Mats!

Jackdaniel’s entry was unique and notable, because he was the only participant with a bunk bed! Proof positive that there’s still a little kid inside of him, which totally goes against the mini-fridge he had in a corner, full of…you guessed it…Jackdaniels!
And props also go out to our other participants Nicolaus and Ravenn, who each took Honorable Mention awards (100K each)! We were all amazed, amused, and impressed by all of the entries, and /salute you all!
Double dose

Ix’DRK, January 14, 2010

The diehards of Abunai headed to Sea today, with DRK on their minds!
One kill later, Cathain walked away with her own Altruistic Cape! I guess it wasn’t satisfying enough, because the team decided to try for another kill, and ended up popping him again! While there was no drop on that one, it did put us closer to more JoL sets, which balanced things out nicely! Grats, all!
Inventory Day

Kirin, January 10, 2010

Team Abunai finally got to do a couple of Kirins today, which made Frutiebutie and Dyanne happy…but not for the reasons you might think!
Nope, it wasn’t the drops that made them happy. After all, only a D. Body and two Shining Cloths dropped on Kirin #1 (which went to Frutiebutie, Nicolaus and Pest), while an N. Body, Pole and O. Ingot dropped on Kirin #2 (which went to Umeria, Cathain and again, Frutiebutie). OMG, what crappy drops! But the main reason FB and Dy were happy was because they got +4 inventory space by using their seals, which is great considering it’s moogleball season! And as a bonus, the rest of the LS was happy at the speed of the kills, which turned out to be roughly 35 minutes each with 20 people. Ah, the stuff it takes to make people happy…
Grats to all winners and fighters!
